The Medical order assumes a public service. It is mandated by Law No. 91-21 of March 13, 1991, to "ensure the maintenance of the principles of integrity, honesty and dedication necessary for the exercise of the profession, and compliance by all its members, professional duties laid down by the particular code of ethics. "
